Favorite memory: It is hard to pick just one!  Towards the end of a DFKDC Cooking Clinic with the Peruvian Brother, the mother of a participant approached me with tears in her eyes. She told me that her son is a very picky eater and refuses to eat new foods and vegetables, which has resulted in increased health concerns. During the clinic her son willingly, and independently, ate the quinoa and chicken dish that the participants learned to prepare and told her that he wants to cook at home.  Her son was empowered to try new foods and learn new skills with his friends in a safe and fun environment. This was the first time that his mother was hopeful that her son's food issues could be overcome.
