Kyshoen Jarrett, determined in his identity; character; has been able to recognize his purpose through his love for the youth as well as the hearts of all. Being the youngest of 4 boys and being raised by a single mother in Poconos, PA, led to his motivation of great success as a student-athlete. After starting 4 years on the varsity football team in HS and earning many scholarships, Kyshoen decided to attend Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2011. Virginia Tech is where he would earn his Human Development degree and graduate in 3 ½ years.

With his transition to the Safety position, style of play, and motivation to better himself daily, Jarrett was later recognized by the Washington Redskins as the 6 th round, 181 st pick in the 2015 Draft. The 6th round pick up continued to drive Jarrett, landing him on the 53 man roster and onto the field as a starting DB throughout the 2015 season. Due to injury at the end of his promising rookie campaign, Kyshoen focuses on family, recovery, and giving as much of himself to those around him. Kyshoen currently serves as part of the coaching team of the Washington Redskins.

So Kids Soar is not only a way to give back to the community for Jarrett but it also encourages him due to his own experience with his brother. Daishawn (26) has Cerebral Palsy and is also blind. Kyshoen and his 2 other brothers would assist their devoted and hardworking mom daily to accommodate the needs of Daishawn. Understanding what families may experience, is what encouraged Kyshoen Jarrett to become an athlete-ambassador for So Kids Soar.
